Join an advanced aerospace engineering environment supporting next-generation aircraft programs

Mission

  • Integrate data from multiple flight science disciplines to evaluate forces experienced by the aircraft using reduced-order models
  • Analyze aircraft behavior considering rigid body dynamics, structural dynamics, and aeroelastic effects when required
  • Define external load envelopes representing summed aircraft forces along reference axis systems
  • Develop external load cross-plots showing resultant loads in multiple directions
  • Define control surface loads and support flight control evaluations
  • Develop aerodynamic load distributions and pressure distributions using:
    • CFD data
    • Wind tunnel testing
    • Flight pressure measurements
  • Define acceleration envelopes required for inertial load sizing and structural assessments
  • Support aircraft structural sizing and certification activities
  • Ensure airworthiness requirement traceability and regulatory compliance
  • Maintain and support Loads Database Management activities
  • Collaborate with structures, stress, aerodynamics, and certification teams throughout the program lifecycle

Profil

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in aircraft loads, dynamics, flight sciences, structural dynamics, or related aerospace engineering functions.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft loads analysis, aerodynamic loads, inertial loads, structural dynamics, aeroelastic effects, and aircraft certification requirements.
  • Experience working with CFD data, wind tunnel data, flight test data, or loads database management is preferred.
  • Must be eligible for Canadian Controlled Goods security clearance.
